Wind turbines power performance measurement
How much energy does the wind turbine deliver at which wind speed? Wind turbines are often operated using optimized speed control concepts in order to achieve ideal efficiency. This can be achieved by adjusting the position of the angle of attack (pitch control) of the blades.
Measurements on rotating shafts and blades with imc Dx telemetry.
The Dx telemetry is a particularly compact and lightweight multi-channels telemetry. Thanks to the universal transmitter module, it can be used flexibly and enables wireless measurements with different numbers of channels and sensor assignments. The possibility of operating up to four transmitters synchronously with one receiver allows spatially distributed measuring points to be recorded simultaneously.
Possible examples of measurement:
Telemetry with one Dx transmitter (SCT) as
4 strain gauge half bridges or 2 strain gauge full bridges conection and a Dx receiver (RCI):
- Torque + bending on the low-speed shaft
- Torque + bending at the high-speed shaft
- Bending at the rotor blades
Telemetry with up to 4 Dx-transmitters (SCT) as 4 half-bridges or 2 full bridges each and one Dx-receiver (RCI). Synchronous acquisition of all measuring points also with different shafts:
- Torque + bending at the low-speed shaft
- Torque + bending at the high-speed shaft
- Bending at the rotor blades
Every Dx transmission module has up to 6 analog channels:
| Modus A | Range | Strain gage | Modus B | Range | Strain gage |
Input 1: | Single-ended | ±1 … ±4096 mV | Half bridge | differential | ±1 bis ±4096 mV | Full bridge |
Input 2: | Single-ended | ±1 … ±4096 mV | Half bridge
Input 3: | Single-ended | ±1 … ±4096 mV | Half bridge | differential | ±1 bis ±4096 mV | Full bridge |
Input 4: | Single-ended | ±1 … ±4096 mV | Half bridge
Input 5: | Single-ended | ±0,011…45,0 V | - | - | - | - |
Input 6: | differential | ±0,011…45,0 V | - | - | - | - |
